Dr. Zhongxiang Wang is an Associate Research Fellow in the Department of Orthopedics at The First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, China. From February to November 2023, he was a Visiting Scholar in the School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Western Australia, working under the mentorship of Professor Jiake Xu. His research focuses on bone metabolism and the pathogenesis of osteoporosis, with particular emphasis on the metabolic regulation of osteoclast differentiation. His current work investigates how ACC1-mediated mitochondrial fatty acid synthesis governs osteoclast activation, with the goal of identifying novel molecular targets for the treatment of metabolic bone diseases.
