Prof. Praveen C. Ramamurthy received his M.Sc. in Polymer Science from the University of Mysore and a Ph.D. from Clemson University in 2004. He has held research and engineering roles at Therm-O-Disc (Ohio, USA) and Hoku Scientific (Hawaii, USA). Since 2007, he has been with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where he is a Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering and Chair of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Water Research (ICWaR). His research focuses on organic electronics, with an emphasis on molecular design for photovoltaics and sensors targeting VOCs, heavy metals, nitrates, and biosensors for analytes such as E. coli and thyroxine.
