Angus graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and completed a PhD in plant/microbe interactions at the ANU’s Research School of Biology. His research is focused on characterizing subcellular events during the symbiotic infection of rhizobacteria in legume roots.
In 2022, Angus joined the ANU's Centre for Advanced Microscopy as a casual Life Sciences Microscopist, and in 2023 he transitioned to a full time position as a Life Sciences Microscopy Specialist.
