Dr Amelia Liu received her PhD from the University of Melbourne and did post-doctoral research in the Electron Microscopy Center, Materials Science Division, Argonne National Laboratory. Since then, Dr Liu has been employed at Monash in a variety of roles. These include a Margaret Clayton Women in Research fellowship in the School of Physics and Astronomy, managing research capabilities in the Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy and an ARC Future Fellowship. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Physics and Astronomy. Dr Liu’s principal research interest is in the nature of glass and how the disordered structure of glass influences its behaviour and properties.
