- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

Roger Wepf is the Director of the Centre for Microscopy & Microanalysis (CMM) at the Univ. of Queensland. He received his degree in cell biology in 1992. After a post-doctoral fellowship at ETH ZH/Biocentre Basel, he joined EMBL in Heidelberg, developing cryo-technologies for corrected EM. Roger spent nine years at Beiersdorf AG as head of the analytical microscopy department, working on human skin morphomics, colloidal systems, and adhesives, focusing on developing techniques for imaging and spectroscopy and cryo-techniques with 3rd party suppliers. In 2006 he was elected Director of the EM Centre of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH/EMEZ), and in 2014 became Technical Director of the ScopeM. Roger’s major research was in the field of correlative microscopy, automatic and cryo sample preparation, and imaging. Currently, he is developing tools for integrating and automating imaging and spectroscopy.
