Lisa Kearney

Lisa is Microanalytical Researcher for the Geological Survey of QLD, based at QUT. Lisa is a QUT local, having completed her Bsc and Honours degrees in Geology/Earth Sciences QUT, she went on to persue a PhD using a petrographic and geochemical approach to investigate carbonate diagenetic products in Holocene reefrocks from the Great Barrier Reef. Through her PhD Lisa has gained experience in a range of microanalytical techniques ranging from light microscopy, electon microscopy, vibrational spectroscopy, to LA-ICP-MS.
Over the last couple of years Lisa has been fortunate enough to work in a variety of technical roles in the Central Analytical Research Facility (CARF) at QUT, ranging from running the Tescan TIMA in the Electron Microscopy lab to working on the BHP-CARF project with the LA-ICP-MS team at CARF QUT.
