- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

Dr. Jie Luo is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Monash University. Her research focuses on leveraging advanced in-situ techniques to investigate deformation and failure mechanisms in engineering alloys, with a particular emphasis on high-strength steels and titanium alloys. She earned her PhD from Monash University in 2023, where she developed a strong foundation in physical metallurgy, mechanical behaviour analysis, and advanced characterization techniques. Her expertise lies in in-situ SEM characterization, including high-resolution digital image correlation (HRDIC), electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), and integrated HRDIC-EBSD analyses. Through her research, she seeks to explore the complex relationships between microstructural evolution and mechanical performance, driving innovations in alloy design and engineering applications.
