Dr. Samantha Jane Alloo is a postdoctoral researcher in the X-ray Imaging Research Group at Monash University. Her expertise lies in developing experimental and theoretical approaches for novel X-ray imaging techniques that enable the visualization of fine structural details within samples. Specifically, she has derived mathematical algorithms based on the Fokker-Planck equation to extract information about X-ray attenuation, phase shifts, and scattering from intensity images. Her emerging research interests focus on adapting these approaches for X-ray imaging techniques to other wavelengths of light, such as electrons and visible light.
